Whats on your list ?

For this week my Menu

a) coconut Iddli - KetoStyle
b) Vangi Bath - KetoStyle using Cauliflower rice
c) TomatoRice Bath - with Broccoli Rice
d) Egg Biryani : - With Cauliflower rice
e) Upma with grated Coconut flour ..




Mainly

Breakfast - Eggs with veggies or greens with Avacado/ blacktea/green tea with lemon

Lunch - During week Salads or something with cauliflower rice (not able to eat cauliflower rice that much)

Dinner - Some kind of Soup with lots of veggies or something with cauliflower rice

black coffee, Protein Smoothies, Green Juice and coconut water, herbal tea whenever needed..

right now only able to 12 hour intermittent...slowly want to go to 14/16

One meal either lunch or dinner going really lean bro - with salad or soup...

i am seeing 2 lbs loss per week

Please eat , 100-250 gms of greens every day you will get lots of minerals and also potassium levels in your body will be maintained .This prevents fatty liver . Also before food drink Apple cider vinegar or lime juice . This prevents kidney stones . Most important drink lots of plain water , when the fat burning starts you loose lots of water . When the water is expelled out of your body also toxins are washed out . I am drinking ginger water , its working wonders on my liver cleansing . Take 50gms of ginger Mash it and boil it in 1-2 litre of water for 2 minutes . Let it cool and u can sip all the day .

Now every alternate day I do not eat for 18 hours at stretch and feel very energetic .

Na diet mrng omlet with tortilla .. daanine chaala rakalu ga chesta.. okka roju egg curry, oka roju tacos, inkoka roju omlette and mayonaisse.. konni sarlu salads.. daily two meals.. evening daily routine same .. keto dosa with our desi pachadi's or opika unte coconut/ peanut chutney.. intermittent fasting chesthunna... day lo 24 hours lo 6 hours gap lo 2 meals tinta migatha antha fasting... dr eric berg seppad manchidi ani naan follow aithunna..last two days one meal per day sesan .. aaakali veyyaledu but antha opika undadu.. ettago nen podiche activities em lev kabatii em kale..

But once the brain cells start using ketones for energy , you will start revolting carbs and cravings for food will drop . 1 gram of Protien or Carb gives you 4 calories
1 gram of Fat gives you 9 calories .

If you have belly fat , that also implies you have fat on your organs and also fatty liver. Means you are heading or already in danger zone of health.

Plan a diet of 900 calories , so you are forcing the body to dig into fat reserves to give you total 1500 -2000 calories of energy for all ur activities.

70-80 gms of unsaturated healthy fat = 700
< 20- gms of carb = 100
30-50 gms of protien = 120

on top of the these , eat 200 -300 gms non-starch , cruciferous vegetables mentioned in my previous post . Soak or squeeze 1 medium lemon , some ginger , jeera into 1 litre of water add some table salt or potassium based salt into it and drink as soon as you getup every day.Greens and acidic drink kick starts your liver, starts cleansing the fatty liver and also put you in far burning mode.

Your body will be back into fat storage mode , carbs will spike insulin and insulin will do its duty of fat buildup in adipose tissue. So you are planning to carb binge during ur vacation also plan to incorporate how you can burn 1500 calories a day . 1500-1700 calories or around 500 gms , this the amount of glucose body stores in muscles and liver before it digs into fat reserves to make ketones .

If you have guts to binge carbs , also have guts to burn it off ..

Bro's have been bit busy in travelling.

In continuation of the topic , please take following into account

a) Have 200-300gms of Vegetables / leafy per day . Choose the vegetables which have very low Glycemic Index. Any cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, kale, turnips, cabbage , Arugula "Rucola" and corn salad "Valerianella locusta".

b) If you feel like eating fruits , choose low GI fruits and go for pears , mini apples

c) Fat sources Butter , cream , olive oil , Avocado fruit .Salted peanuts , Almonds etc .Beware of the nuts , they are equally loaded with carbs , fats and protein.Lots of Carbs and over loading of protein is a danger for your health as they both increase your insulin levels and fat storage.

d) Protien what ever you like , plant or meat.No limit on Salt and Masala . But you have to eat 300 gms of low GI vegetables / leafy.

Just experiment and find ways to elliminate carbs or limit to 20-30 gms per day . enjoy your fav pickles , salt (sodium and Pottasium) and do not forget the 300 gms of vegetables per/day eat raw or minimum cooked.Also sprouted lentils are advised , but I am yet to research on this as they contain quite some carbs and protien.

One very important thing about good fats...

Omega 3 to Omega 6 ratio we should keep close. 1:4 would be ideal but less better. To give a perspective, on and average wee keep this ration at 1:12 to 1:25 range.

Meaning eat lots of fats with Omega 3 than Omega 6.

Bro , before we go into practicals. How prepared and commited are you for this lifestyle ? Carbs / processed all around you .It takes around 7-30 days to get into full Ketosis.Until then it will be a massive struggle to avoid carbs in the form of sugars , candy's , cakes biscuits etc etc .Your brain will play many games with your body to get the sugars.

First list out the food sources

a) Fats ; chase the good fats . Unsaturated fat sources like Butter , cream , egg yolk , Avocado,coconut oil, olive oil. Stay away margarine , vegetable oils ..

2) Protiens : can be meat or plant based.Since I am a vegetarian, I go for organic Tofu.Yet to try Spirulla . I also take Egg white . Whats important is important is chose the ones which has a full source of essential-amino acids. Limit your protien intake to 80 gms a day.

3) choose any of your favourite carbs , rice what ever . But catch , you cannot eat more than 20gms of carbs per day.

4) Vegetables ; you have to eat lots of vegetables. Choose the vegetables which have very low Glychemic index . Eating lots of vegetable is very important , eating this prevents fatty liver .

Here is the fundamental confusion . Ketogenic diet is a 75% fat , 20% protien and 5% Carb.

High Protien , Low carb diet is related to Atkins . This works for short term , but you gain back the same or double the weight. But high protien diet puts immense pressure on kidney and also some part of the protien after metabolism into amino acids , left over amino acids further gets broken down to glycogen which get used up as fuel by the cells or gets stored into fat around waist. This fat storage is assisted by insulin harmone that is hanging around. Insulin is secreted everytime food enters your body .

Fundamentally you are not attacking / addressing the metabolic issues that is driving the fat storage.

Body gets energy from
a) Carbs "Glucose , fructose etc"
b) Protiens .
c) Fats "lipids : Saturated , unsaturated" .

Bases on one's insulin levels , liver breaks down above a) and b) into fuel . The glycogen / energy that is made from carbs and protiens , when it is unsued gets stored in the fat cells and hence the waist line . Insuin is a double edged sword , it shuttles energy to cells and also excess energy in the form of glucogen is storted in fat cells"adipose tissue".

But Human body is a wonderful machine , the cells can take energy from Glycogen or Ketones . Primary source for Ketones is fat aka lipids. Ketogenic diet is the process of adapting body to use fat as a fuel source .

When you enter Ketosis , that is when you switch your body to use Ketones as fuel for energy , that is when the wonders happen .Ketones are like clean fuel , which generate very few free Radicals , when compared to glycogen. The cancer cells in the body can only take glycogen as fuel , healthy cells can take both sources ketones and glycogen for fuel.

4 months back train lo vasthunte ee diet chesina oka pedhayana tagiladu..he got good results in a year...pv satyanarayana ani care hospital doctor guidance lo chesanu annadu..youtube lo pv satyanarayana ani search cheyandi..ayana deeni gurinchi cheppe videos unnayi..two videos in tv9..he is a heart surgeon who performed 15k plus heart surgeries..keto start chesaka 3 months lo sugar normal ayi insulin kuda manesanu ani chepparu doctor garu(he is a diabetic)
