The search for MH370 has been expanded into the Andaman Sea, hundreds of kilometres to the northwest of the original search radius.

DigitalGlobe, the company that invited the public to help locate MH370 as a crowdsourcing initiative, has seen unprecedented traffic, which overloaded its servers. They sent out a tweet asking volunteers to return later as they have new imagery collections to be searched.

The two mystery passengers which boarded the MH370 on stolen passports are most likely migrants looking for a new home, rather than terrorists with an agenda. Full story here.
Malaysia Airlines said it was shocked by allegations aired in an Australian news programme regarding the questionable behaviour of the co-pilot on its missing passenger jet. They are unable to verify the validity of the claims, and do not want to divert their attention away from search and rescue operations.

More now on the earlier info that Malaysian military say they tracked the missing plane in the Malacca Strait after it lost contact with air traffic control.
Earlier today Malaysian media reported that the plane was spotted flying at lower altitude some distance away from its intended flight path.
"The last time the flight was detected close to Pulau Perak, in the Malacca Strait, at 2.40 a.m. by the control tower before the signal was lost," air force chief Rodzali Daud told the Berita Harian newspaper.
If correct that would suggest the plane flew for an hour and 10 minutes AFTER the plane vanished from control screens.

what we know

Boeing 777 took off from Kualalumpur at around 12.40 AM
It lost all air contact at around 1:30 AM
Shocking thing which happened yesterday

Some mobiles of the passengers when dialed were ringing but no one answered while some were hung (after 3 days of disappearence)
If they are crashed and died, mobiles should have been
in sea or
power discharged or
switched off
What was revealed today
=======================
Flight turned back and was flying west (Malacca Strait) for some 500 kms not sure why.... and was spotted by a military radar at around 2.40 am
It was flying at a very low altitude (1000 mts less than an usual flight)
There was no radio signal, no distress call, no msg to any nearest air station, not visible on radar - Everything got switched off and it disappeared @ 2:50 AM
Generally all boeing planes send their status update while in air back using a special tracking mechanism which never ever goes off, but even this went off
Some are still hoping for some miracle as no wreckage is found anywhere, not in south china sea neither in Malacca Strait so far ...
