As soggadu bro said it's very difficult to move to Canada on immigration now, they have changed the rules. If you can invest close to $1MM, you & your family will get a PR in couple of months, I believe. (1) If you plan to immigrate to canada as an IT employee, it is almost next to impossible. You can try the Quebec option but that has lots of additional headaches (like french knowledge etc). If you can prove that you have at least 2 years of work experience in the categories that are listed under Federal Skilled worker (FSW) - your journey to Canada will become much easier.
(2) You might become eligible as an Investor. Explore that option too
Living wise - Except for parts of British Columbia weather is almost the same. Prepare for at least 6 to 7 months of winter.

hey folks,
want to know which state is offering canadian immigration and easy to get. whats the timeline. earlier i got ainp nomination but failed to utilize tht chance. now i want to start canada immigration again. have 8+ yrs IT experience on h1b visa since 2006.
i want to quit IT job as my business is growing.i want to quit IT job as soon as i get canada green card.
which state in canada is better for living and climate conditions. i will be self employed so i just need to worry abt climate,cost of living,indian community etc.
