Compressor station aa, compressor manufacturing factory aa? I am guessing it's compressor station. Any pipeline (gas or oil) will have intermittent compressor (gas) or pump (oil) stations to maintain the pressure. Nothing to worry, actual compressors will be in an enclosed building and you won't even hear anything given the distance of 1.2 miles. I don't think it's a factor for you.

but make sure your home's yard doesn't have any of those cable/electricity boxes, walkway, street lighting, rail tracks near by, power line on your side, electricity transmitters near by, definitely shouldn't be a corner one n proximity to a nuclear plant...
