Doc gaadi commedy aside, I like this trade for Clippers. Jerry West helped this big time with a bold move...that clipper team was going to get crazy expensive and would have shown no improvement...ippudu they got lots of assets and avoided paying a 205 Million contract to CP3. This team will still perform like last year's team and will have a lot more flexibility going forward.
Ippudu CP3 is going to get very expensive and Harden is getting close to an extension...Rockets timeline is 1 or 2 years and they have traded away all their value contracts...Beverley, Lou Williams , Harrell.....if they cannot find takers for their expensive players like Ryan Anderson...hard to see this team winning next year...and when Warriors get salary cap pain...Rockets will enter into it with an older roster. But, one thing about Morey is he is really good at hitting jackpots with 2nd round talent..probably the best in NBA. But, dont see a serious need for CP3 on a 200 Million contract for the Rockets roster.
CP3, Melo, Lebron, Wade....all free agents at the same time next year. |

Andre Iguodala has become the foremost target in an attempt weaken the Golden State Warriors' chokehold on the NBA, league sources have told ESPN.
The Minnesota Timberwolves, San Antonio Spurs, LA Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets and Utah Jazz are among the teams interested in the 2015 NBA Finals MVP, sources tell ESPN.
It is not yet known if Iguodala will take meetings.
A significant number of personnel within NBA circles have come to the conclusion that rather than building a superteam, it's much more economically feasible and expeditious to just pluck away talent from the Bay Area juggernauts.
Draymond Green and Klay Thompson are under contract for a couple of more seasons, while Iguodala, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are unrestricted free agents. However, it's virtually a lock that the latter two aren't venturing elsewhere. Those individuals make up "The Hamptons 5," a nickname for the players involved in the recruiting of Durant in the Hamptons last summer.
The open market, according to rival executives, poses a serious threat of stealing the 33-year-old veteran from the defending champs come July 1, the first day of the free-agency period.
The Timberwolves recently acquired All-Star wingman Jimmy Butler to jump-start their acceleration, and if they're able to procure Iguodala, head coach Tom Thibodeau would have a roster equipped for a deep playoff run.
ESPN's Marc Stein first reported that the Spurs are attempting to create salary-cap flexibility to pursue Chris Paul this summer, and a combo acquisition of the Clippers' All-Star point guard and Iguodala has been discussed internally, sources say. The Spurs have made LaMarcus Aldridge and Danny Green available for trades, according to sources. |

Rockets head coach Mike D'Antonio won the 2017 Coach of the Year Award.
This was D'Antonio's second time winning the award, as he won it back in 2004 when he led the Suns to a franchise-high tying 62 wins. He was considered the heavy favorite for the award after leading the Rockets to a 55-27 record and a third place finish in the West. The Rockets set the All-Time record for most 3-pointers made in a season and D'Antoni is partly responsible for James Harden's best season of his career.
Giannis Antetokounmpo won the 2017 Most Improved Player Award.
Giannis led the Bucks to a sixth place finish in the East with a 42-40 record, earning a spot on the Eastern All-Star starting five in the process. The Greak Freak was a top-5 asset in standard leagues with averages of 22.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.7 steals, 1.9 blocks and 0.6 3-pointers on 52.2 percent shooting, becoming the first player in NBA history to finish in the top 20 in total points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. Entering his age-23 season, you can make a strong argument of taking him with the No. 1 pick in fantasy drafts. |
