L1B stamping is an issue. Not a straight forward stamping. There were many rejections that am aware of.

Thanks folks. H1 stamping ayyindi. Atanu kooda L1 ke interest chuspitunnadu, but his worry is consulate em questions adugutaremo ani...anyways, I will talk to him.
He will be on L1B I think. H1 visa cancel/expire aina, petition valid untundhi kada? like, malli lottery lo pick avvalsina avasaram ledhu ani vinna...but I will talk to legal too.... |

H1 already stamped or just approved? In case H1 stamp ayyi undi malli L1A or B stamping ki velthe he will have to answer some tricky questions at the consulate. More than likely he will have his H1 cancelled. At any given time only one category visa will be valid

L1 meedha potam betteru...bcos he will have a job as soon as he lands in US and will get some time to stablize...as he has H1 already (once picked up in lottery), even he wants to convert to H1 at a later point in time, he need not go through Lottery again(oka saari idhi confirm cheskomanandi..like what if he wants to move out to another company later, does he need lottery again)...H1 consultancies here are very unreliable..sagam time bench lo undatam,leka sarigga pay cheyyakapovatam,stamping issues etc etc unnaai...so best bet is, come on L1 through your company and once he is settled down, he can always look for another nice job(full time job,not consultance) and move on in his career(assuming no lottery again).. |

Experts,
Need some advice on a situation.
One of my team member secured a H1 stamping couple of months ago, however, since he is a critical team member, my manager (VP) in US offered him L1 (he has been planning for other team members and he offered to include this person as well). Now to take this further, he initiated a L1 blanket approval request with legal and HR, and they worked on securing a L1 blanket approval for the company from US immigration. So we now have a blanket approval.
Now the confusion is, should he stick to H1 and leave the company? or take up L1 and get a transfer to US office? As his manager, I would prefer him take up L1 and be with the same team in US, but at the same time I do not want to force him to take that decision (actually he is confused too so he asked me for guidance). Am not expert in this area, so advice needed so I can talk to him tomorrow and provided a guided approach.
