Jonny:again i have wasted lot of in continuing this discussion with u and i am to blame.
the feeling is mutual, thanks.
Jonny:age entha? enni years aadadu? enni odis aadadu? tests lo enni years fail ayyadu? world cup taravata enni changes vachayi indian team lo after the failures in england and aus? how many other seniors were dropped/relegated to fixed matches? it is combination of everything. younger and newer players were tried at that stage and that is how he got lost. he didnt do any better in domestic circuit either for him to warrant a place back and he never had the opening in the team once rohit and dhawan combo started. and u keep referring to rohit not being dropped even though was dropped very often and he got a lucky break in one game as an opener in which he won the game for india and got fixed in that position. it wasnt like he played every game at that stage. if he did, he would have player 45 odis that years instead of 14.
gamhhir was not 35 year old when he was dropped.
all i asked is he had lot better avg in a year than rohit's 12 when he was dropped. and he was never given a chance. and he did not avg bad in ranji either, 48. |

rohit came back into the team when all the main players were rested for zim tour and scored 2 100s there. since then he was in the fringe. didnt make the world cup squad and slowly made way back into the side with rotation of seniors. gambhir didnt score a 100 since Jan 2010 till he was dropped in 2012 about 25 test matches in between. so if ur point is to prove gambhir was a victim, u need to search for some one else.
