s realignment of caste equations going to happen very soon in Andhra Pradesh?
Will Pawan Kalyan be heading them? Hot topic among political circles is that Pawan Kalyan has hinted subtly about his political course during his recent speech that is drawing strong criticism from Telugu Desam party MPs.
Pawan Kalyan was the man behind the concept of ‘Samajika Nyayam’ when Chiranjeevi launched his Praja Rajyam party. Until the recent speech, he never consciously spoke about castes in public speeches. But on Monday he targeted Telugu Desam party MPs who belong to the community of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in particular.
Expectedly, Kesineni Nani, the Vijayawada MP, responded strongly and attacked Pawan Kalyan personally. Caste lines are drawn now. Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa who belongs to the same community of Kapu came in support of Pawan Kalyan and took strong objection to Kesineni Nani’s comments. He even threatened them to face dire consequences if they make personal comments on Powerstar.
Today Pawan immediately responded to Nani's comments on twitter.
All these confirm the rumors that are in circulation that some Kapu leaders are trying to unite Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan and bring the community leaders together to make a strong political force.
When Pawan Kalyan launched Jana Sena party early this year, he vehemently turned down the requests of his community leaders to align with them and instead canvassed for TDP and BJP successfully. A year later, the political scenario is changing and new equations are happening.
The big question is will Pawan Kalyan yield to the pressure of his well-wishers and lead them in front?
