two things to remember from process perspective:
1) it's a remote place and no planes regularly land after hours
2) as per international regulations, passengers destined to a location will not be allowed to disembark at any other location unless its an extreme case
ee particular case lo door could not be opened annaru.
naku okasari ayindi ila. Toronto to Kansas city vellali, almost kansas daggarlo vunnam. then kansas aiport was shutdown due to thunderstorms. then they landed us in St Louis but didn't let us out due that above said regulation. after 2 to 3 hours wait on the runway they flew us back to Toronto because Kansas was not opening any time soon. Then in Toronto, we reached by 1AM, they gave us a hotel for the night (actually it was only 4 hours) then we have to come back to the airport next morning and finally reached Kansas around 2PM.
