Thermostat works with wifi connectivity but to activate HVAC, the thermostat needs to get connected to the wires of HVAC.. There is something called C- Wire which is not existing in old models. so adi add cheyinchali,, lekapote ecobee work avvadu..
Maadi ade problem ayyindi, local energy company maaku free gaa install cheyyataniki vaste, aa wiring leka ellipoyaru, then I had to buy nest , local energy company gave rebate but it costed by 25$ after TG deal.
But that DTE employee said, ecobee4 is far better, I was missing it.

ecobee4 is best, however its not compatible with old generation HAC's. Some additional wiring will be required if not existing.
nest is universal compatible and very easy to install.. thats an edge over ecobee4.
