Dan Buettner: Singapore is the happiest place in Asia, but Asia in general isn’t the happiest place in the world. I’ve written a lot about blue zones and found evidence-based parts of the world where people are happiest. I looked in Denmark, Mexico, even Singapore. The data here indicated that people here self-report higher levels of happiness than anywhere else in the world.
If you look at Gallup poll results, you'll realise Singapore is the happiest place. You guys don't realise how good you have it. Singapore is a place where you can live out your values, where elderly people are taken care of, people feel secure, where there's order and cleanliness - these are fundamental sources of joy for people and you have them here. |

'ఏపీ రాజధాని కోసం సింగపూర్ వెళ్తున్నాం'
హైదరాబాద్ : కృష్ణా - గుంటూరు జిల్లాల మధ్యే ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాజధాని ఏర్పాటు చేసే అవకాశాలు అధికంగా ఉన్నాయని ఆ రాష్ట్ర పట్టణాభివృద్ధి శాఖ మంత్రి పి.నారాయణ తెలిపారు. మంగళవారం హైదరాబాద్ లో మంత్రి పి.నారాయణ విలేకర్ల సమావేశంలో మాట్లాడుతూ... ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్ర రాజధాని ప్రపంచస్థాయిలో నిర్మించాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు భావిస్తున్నారని తెలిపారు. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో రాజధాని నిర్మాణానికి డిజైన్ ను రూపొందిస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. ఆ డిజైన్ ఆరు నెలలో పూర్తవుతుందని చెప్పారు. రాజధానిపై అధ్యాయనం కోసం ఈ నెలాఖరులో సింగపూర్ పయనమవుతున్నట్లు నారాయణ వెల్లడించారు.
రాజధాని నిర్మాణం నేపథ్యంలో తమ నగరాన్ని పరిశీలించాలని సింగపూర్ ప్రభుత్వం ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వాన్ని ఆహ్వానించిందని ఆయన ఈ సందర్బంగా గుర్తు చేశారు. అందులోభాగంగా సింగపూర్ నగరాన్ని పరిశీలించేందుకు ఈ నెలాఖరులో పయనమవుతున్నట్లు నారాయణ చెప్పారు.
సాధారణ రాజధాని నిర్మాణానికి రూ. 94 వేల కోట్లు... అదే ప్రపంచస్థాయి రాజధాని నిర్మాణానికి రూ. లక్షా యాభై వేల కోట్లు అవసరమవుతాయని అంచనా వేస్తున్నట్లు తెలిపారు. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాజధానికి 184 కిలోమీటర్ల పరిధిలో ఔటర్ రింగ్ రోడ్డు ఏర్పాటుకు ప్రతిపాదనలు సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నట్లు నారాయణ పేర్కొన్నారు. |
