420:I am involved in complete front end development and acquisition of 4 different utility scale Solar projects (3 in Canada and 1 in the US). Total capacity 150MW with one of the plants at 80MW
100MW plant cost's around 1500 crores to build, yes this needs to be heavily subsidized , but looking at the ROI feasibility on costs and production capacity , is it a wise idea in Canada because it is not in the path of good solar insolation ?

I am involved in complete front end development and acquisition of 4 different utility scale Solar projects (3 in Canada and 1 in the US). Total capacity 150MW with one of the plants at 80MW. All are with photovoltaic tech with Cd-Te panels. Common theme: Solar doesn't work without heavy subsidies from govts. In the US, they used to give 30% tax credits. In Canada, Ontario entered into long term PPAs with $0.42 per kwh while market price is around $0.10 per kwh. |

Consumers are not aware wtr they r getting power from their mains r solar, wtr the battery is being charged by solar r mains.no awarness for consumers

In this process these 32 companies are selling their products at 75% extra price . End of the day the consumer is not getting any benifit apart from the loan.
These guys are fixing 100 watts panel and saying this will run fans , lights for 24 hours.which is thrash .
I fixed 500watts panel for my house which costed me 60k incl battery . This will cover fans, lights, tele n 5 star rated fridge.

Avnuu .. there are lots of plans to set-up Solar power plants in ATP say , but ROI against investment is not so interesting.
But retail Solar units are getting well accepted , its seems to be the rage due to subsidies from Grameena banks .
