Nayak:

KB annai, winter vegetables gurunchi kuda cheppandi like what are the best vegetables/greens to plant and when to plant, how much sun they need, when to cover for low temps etc...

Garlic: I am going to start planting garlic in a few days. BJ's is selling organic red garlic now. Costco is selling non-organic California grown garlic. I'll use both of those varieties.

My suggestion: Try different varieties of garlic to see which oen suits to your soil and weather conditions. Red, white, and elephant garlic are broad varieties.

Nayak:

So October should be ideal I guess?

Yep.Thats the ideal time. I planted in December also(which is late) and got the same amount of yeild a sthe ones planted in September/October Only thing is you need to harvest them in July.

Nayak:

getting it from Costco.

Any garlic is fine. If there is any option avalable to buy organic, I'll go for it.

Nayak:

Can I plant in the same bed which I use to grow all kind of veggies

I wouldn't do that. Normally, I plant each garlic with 4" space. So, when you want to harvest them, its difficult to do it without affecting other plants. Since June is is the growing season for other plants, its better to have them in a separate bed.
