ఈ యూనిర్సిటీల్లో అడ్మిషన్లు పొందిన విద్యార్థులు గత వారం అమెరికా వెళ్లగా ఇమిగ్రేషన్ అధికారులు ఆరుగురు విద్యార్థులను తిప్పిపంపారు. అలా తిప్పిపంపడమే అసలు సమస్యకు ప్రధాన కారణమైందని విశ్లేషిస్తున్నారు. శాన్ఫ్రాన్సిస్కో విమానాశ్రయం పోర్ట్ ఆఫ్ ఎంట్రీ వద్ద అధికారులు అడిగిన ప్రశ్నకు ఒకదానికి మరొకటి పొంతన లేని సమాధానాలు చెప్పిన కారణంగా వారిని తిప్పిపంపినట్టు తెలుస్తోంది. దాని ప్రభావమే మిగతా విద్యార్థులపై పడిందని చెబుతున్నారు.
అమెరికా ప్రభుత్వం కొన్ని అనుమానాలు వ్యక్తం చేసిన కారణంగా ఎయిర్ ఇండియా అధికారులు అత్యుత్సాహం ప్రదర్శించారన్న విమర్శలు కూడా వినిపిస్తున్నాయి. శాన్ ఫ్రాన్సిస్కో విమానాశ్రయంలో ఎవరో కొంతమంది విద్యార్థుల వల్ల సమస్యలు తలెత్తితే ఎయిర్ ఇండియా అదికారులు మిగతా విద్యార్థులను ఇబ్బందుల పాలు చేశారని అంటున్నారు. పోర్ట్ ఆఫ్ ఎంట్రీలో అనుమతి నిరాకరిస్తే వారందరినీ తిరిగి తీసుకురావలసి ఉంటుందని, దాన్ని తప్పించుకోవడానికే ఎయిర్ ఇండియా అధికారులు ఈ రకంగా చేశారని కూడా వినిపిస్తోంది.

భవిష్యత్తుపై ఎన్నో ఆశలు పెట్టుకుని ఉన్నత చదువుల కోసం వస్తున్న విద్యార్థులను గందరగోళానికి గురిచేయరాదని తెలంగాణ అమెరికా తెలుగు అసోసియేషన్ నేషనల్ కల్చరల్ చైర్మన్ శ్రీనివాస్ మనప్రగడ, రీజినల్ వైస్ ప్రెసిడెంట్ అప్పిరెడ్డి, యువ సంస్థ ప్రతినిధి సతీష్లు అన్నారు. ఆ రెండు యూనివర్సిటీలను బ్లాక్ లిస్ట్లో పెట్టారన్న ప్రచారం వల్ల ప్రస్తుతం ఆ యూనిర్సిటీల్లో చదువుతున్న విద్యార్థులు కూడా ఇబ్బంది పడాల్సి వస్తుందని, వారితో పాటు విద్యార్థుల తల్లిదండ్రులు కూడా ఆందోళనకు గురవుతారని చెప్పారు. ఆ రెండు యూనివర్సిటీల్లో ప్రస్తుతం నాలుగు వేల మంది తెలుగు విద్యార్థులున్నారని, తప్పుడు ప్రచారం చేసి వారి భవిష్యత్తును పాడుచేయొద్దని కోరారు. వదంతులను నమ్మొద్దని వారు కోరారు.
కొంత మంది తత్తరపాటే
ఇమిగ్రేషన్ అధికారులు ప్రశ్నించినప్పుడు కొంత మంది విద్యార్థులు తత్తర పడటం, పొంతన లేని సమాధానాలు ఇవ్వడం వల్ల కొన్ని ఇబ్బందులు తలెత్తి ఉంటాయని, అంతమాత్రంగా నిజమైన ప్రతిభ కలిగిన విద్యార్థులకు నష్టం కలిగించే ప్రచారం వద్దని ఆయన కోరారు.
శాన్ ఫ్రాన్సిస్కో నుంచి కొంత మంది విద్యార్థులను తిప్పిపంపినప్పుడు ఎయిర్ ఇండియా ఒక్కో విద్యార్థి నుంచి విపరీతంగా డబ్బులు వసూలు చేసిందని మనప్రగడ శ్రీనివాస్ ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ఒక్కొక్కరి నుంచి 1.45 లక్షల రూపాయలు వసూలు చేయడం దారుణమన్నారు. శాన్ ఫ్రాన్సిస్కో నుంచి తిరిగి తీసుకెళ్లాల్సిన బాధ్యత వారిపైనే ఉంటుందన్న ఉద్దేశంతో దాదాపు 20 మంది విద్యార్థులకు బోర్డింగ్ పాస్ జారీ చేయకుండా వెనక్కి పంపించిందని ఆయన తప్పుబట్టారు.
