I never push kids into anything that they are not interested. Piano, guitar etc. try chesi vadilsaar after couple of years. money and time wasted but I am not worried. they like snowboarding so I learned skiing just to be with them and we enjoy it together. ika pothe parent teacher meetings ki I went twice in my life, I don't give too much importance to the report cards. a big no to tution, kumon etc., am not saying it's wrong; its just not my way.
Only thing I told my elder one is that he need to pick one among the four areas; engineering, medicine, law, accounting/finance. I am okay with any of those areas. Also told him that he is free to go wherever he wants for school.
idantha nenu edo goppa ani cheppukotaniki kaadu, I have my share of regrets. Some things I would have done differently in retrospect.

ikkada postlu/matalu veyyatam/chepptam kaadu..... chesi choopinchandai..... marpu anedi ekkado vundadu.... manathone start avuddi ani grahinchandi....
nenu already chala implement chesanu/chestunnanu.... ofcourse friend circle lo same chetta route (too many tutions, chadavalekapoyina AP/IB subjects ki edo vidamga push cheyatam etc..., prati okkadni 4/5 activities lo join cheyytama etc.... ) lone velutunnaru.... discussion vachhina pratisari cheputunnanu.... don't load/influence kids with your thoughts and activities..... |

Basically they can fail and we help them recover without much impact on them of the failure.
example ante, any situation be it smaller of bigger. need not be any competition by itself. You give a task, if he fails to do for whatever reason, you help him to do and learn from how he failed.
that way he when real life situation comes he knows how to handle atleast wont take extreme steps of failure ani..
