nenu open houses lo vellaa chaala schools ki...for some reason, I did not like Montessori...they don't have regular classes like other schools, age groups 4-6 oka class, 6-9 oka class....and based on Individuals performance each kid progresses at their own pace and they decide when the kid is ready for next level...more like Kumon...plus vaalla way of teaching things was way different from other schools...oka saari aa school ki vellaaka if I want to change back to regular school i dont know how the transition for the kid would be...but some people said it worked very well for their kids...endukochina godavale ani regular daycare and schools lo pettaam memu

Musicfan:

OMesh, I talked to one of my friend whose kids went to Montessori, what he said was their food time/lunch time is limited and if kid doesnt eat at that time, they dont extend or make the kid eat, unlike day care centers who ensure kids eat properly. I have seen in one of after school learning centers that they will ensure kid has dinner if the kid is in center after 6PM. Montessori is different is what his feedback is.

So better switch back to Goddard where your son gets proper attention for food. Since it is less than one month, I guess you can go without that 2 month clause.

Thanks for the information rao gaaru.. repu velli school lo matladataa..

If its more than 2 weeks and kid is still not adjusted, I would say go back to goddard...2 yrs is too young..antha chinnappati nundi foundation avasaramaa..let kid be 4yrs and then u can rethink..2 yrs is the time they develop motor skills , speech etc..u dont want to negatively impact anything..

isn't the food packed from home? in most of the Montessori schools, they make sure that the kid takes home the left over food instead of throwing in the trash so that the parents can get to know in the evening on how much the kid ate...

why dont u continue in goddard? valla curriculum and activities kooda baguntai kada?

yeah, main reason to discontinue there is, from day 1, we want him to go to Montessori, as the way of teaching is good in montessori.. goddard ki vellataaniki main reason, montessori vaadu below 2, teesukonannadu, so temporary ga goddard ki pampinchaam, and as soon as he is 2, moved to montessori. But vaadu tinakapovatam choosi, malli goddard ki pampincheddamaa ani anipistundi.. But dont know, is it wrong.. should I give him more time at montessori to adjust.. confused..

OM sOdarA,
This is the adjustment phase... Montessori way of teaching is different and will defenitely help the kid grow. If you want to talk to a teacher, why do you need to call. Just walk with him to the class at the time of drop off and talk to the teacher. At that time they will not have much to do since the kids will still be arriving and should have some free time to talk. Go and express your concerns and they will defenitely listen.
