Palindrome99:

What advantage is there in investing in ETFs/Mutual Funds? Is there any advantage in investing in ETFs compared to normal stock market?

With my limited knowledge, others can correct and give their view.

With ETF's
No need to research on a particular stock.

No need to worry about earnings, analysts view etc.

As ETF's are combination of few stocks, even if one or two go bankrupt, it is just a temporary downside.

Palindrome99:

If you beat S&P, why do you need to invest in ETFs?

To constantly beat S&P, you need to research a lot and follow the market.

If you don't have time or cannot say which will succeed and still want to invest in Equities, ETF's are good way to invest.

You can choose 1 or 2 tops sectors and pick related ETF's to invest

Basically, Downside is protected with ETF's, high side is also limited. Low risk, low reward
