There was discussion on the birth timelines of Adisankara, some say he was before Goutham Budda, but most say he is after Goutham Buddha,. He had to revive Sanatana Dharma from people who were heavily influenced by Buddhism and in confused state. The debates he had all along were to defeat them and restore Sanatana Dharma antaaru.. Hinduism was much before and in between Budhism has destroyed to a certain extent and then it was revived Adi Sankara and Ramanujacharya.. Aina Budhism doesnt believe in GOD concept, yet still he is beleived to be one of Avatar of Vishnu how is it possible? He defies many concept of sanatana dharma..
