Senior Telugu Desam Party legislator and Telangana TDP working president A Revanth Reddy is understood to have made up his mind to say good bye to the party and join the Congress sooner or later.

Of late, Revanth has been hobnobbing with the Congress leaders and not been taking the name of his party boss N Chandrababu Naidu while taking up his programmes.

Despite getting a dressing down from Naidu, Revanth has been stepping up the attack on Telangana Rashtra Samithi and its president K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Sources said Revanth has been feeling insecure in the TDP after the recent revamp of the Telangana TDP by Naidu.

While he expected that he would be made the party president in Telangana, Naidu preferred to continue soft-spoken L Ramana as the TTDP chief.

Apparently, Naidu has not appreciated Revanth’s attempt to consolidate the Reddy community against the TRS, since it would anger the Kammas.

And the latest attempts of the TRS chief to woo the Kamma community and forge an alliance with the TRS have resulted in Revanth losing his patience.

Though he did not come out openly yet, he is said to be distancing himself from the party activities slowly and moving towards the Congress.

It is learnt former Union minister S Jaipal Reddy, who is Revanth’s wife’s uncle, has assured the young leader in this regard.

Though Revanth has been avoiding meeting Jaipal all these years, he is said to be in frequent touch with the veteran Congress leader of late, sources said.
