During this period both Lok Sabha and state Assembly elections were held and elections usually enhance the sales of the daily newspapers. But this year there has been no significant change in the number. Eenadu won the race with a maximum circulation of 18.21 lakh copies. Sakshi newspaper came in second with 12.58 lakh copies sold.
