Mahesh's BAN OS Rights Sold For 'Fancy' Price September 26 , 2017 | UPDATED 00:36 IST

Mahesh Babu's next film Bharath Ane Nenu with Koratala Siva is in the early stages of production. Even before the release date is announced, the film is selling like a hot cake as trade is betting big on Srimanthudu combination.

BAN is a political drama with commercial elements in which Mahesh is reportedly playing the role of a Chief Minister.

Overseas distribution rights of the Mahesh-Koratala film are bought by a top distributor for Rs. 18.18 crore. This is not a bilingual like Mahesh’s Spyder, but the overseas distributor believe that BAN has the potential to become one of the biggest hits in the overseas market.

Producer Danayya liked the quoted amount of Rs. 18.18 crore that he made an agreement with the distributor.

Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan’s twenty fifth film directed by Trivikram also fetched a fancy offer from overseas distributors. It was sold for Rs. 19.19 crore as per trade sources.

Looks like quoting fancy amounts is the latest trend in the overseas market! At this price, these films need to gross almost $5 Million in US to be successful ventures for their buyers.
