Pan American Silver (PAAS) was trading stronger after hours as the company said adjusted Q2 earnings per basic share were $0.15, higher than the consensus on Capital IQ for $0.10, if comparable, and topping the year earlier $0.12. EPS on a diluted basis wasn't provided. Revenue rose 5% to $201.3 million, also ahead of analysts' expectations for about $185 million. Silver output based on H1 production is on track to meet the targeted range of 24.5 to 26.0 million ounces for 2017, while the gold forecast of 155.0 to 165.0 thousand ounces was maintained. Zinc, lead and copper production during H1 were within expectations and 2017 guidance has also been affirmed for output of those metals. Ignorance is bliss |
