Any filter with activated carbon media will be good enough anukuntunna...I need to research more on this

The water quality standards used by EWG (proposed by California Dept. of Health but were never implemented) are more stringent than the Federal Water quality standards. Your local water quality may meet the federal standards but could very well fall short of the EWG set limits.
