Rockets head coach Mike D'Antonio won the 2017 Coach of the Year Award.
This was D'Antonio's second time winning the award, as he won it back in 2004 when he led the Suns to a franchise-high tying 62 wins. He was considered the heavy favorite for the award after leading the Rockets to a 55-27 record and a third place finish in the West. The Rockets set the All-Time record for most 3-pointers made in a season and D'Antoni is partly responsible for James Harden's best season of his career.

Giannis Antetokounmpo won the 2017 Most Improved Player Award.
Giannis led the Bucks to a sixth place finish in the East with a 42-40 record, earning a spot on the Eastern All-Star starting five in the process. The Greak Freak was a top-5 asset in standard leagues with averages of 22.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.7 steals, 1.9 blocks and 0.6 3-pointers on 52.2 percent shooting, becoming the first player in NBA history to finish in the top 20 in total points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. Entering his age-23 season, you can make a strong argument of taking him with the No. 1 pick in fantasy drafts.
