I don't think its a bad trade...Fultz almost has no weakeness but he is not a sure fire superstar either. They could even win this trade depending on how the Lakers pick pans out and how well they do with #3 pick. Their current problem is...in a way they will be wasting Fultz behind 4 point guards Isiah Thomas, Avery Bradley, Marcus Smart (#6 pick in 2014) and Terry Rozier (#16 pick in 2015). They already had to cut a couple of draft picks last year because of roster crunch. First two are star or atleast starting caliber players. Smart and Rozier have shown potential to be starting caliber point guards. Fultz has the most upside...any other team would have traded a couple of the above PGs to give minutes to Fultz...but Celtics are also in a contend now mode have reached the eastern conference finals...its a hard choice. |
