jaffa ba, rollover iras are not ERISA protected in CA for that matter any IRA. However, I believe 401k account are ERISA protected in the entire country including CA. So, think twice before you move your current employer 401k to rollver ira. Also, If you are planning to do backdoor roth ira each year this rollover ira will not let you do this due to irs rules. Having vanguard as 401k is pure bliss. very few employers in bay area has vanguard (apple is one). best and low expense index funds. you might want to consider your previous employers 401k to you current employer vanguard 401k. |
