Since english medicine has a leg up in exposure, funding, research, immediate relief and charm, it is way ahead among all medicinal practices. But if you take away bad doctors and snake oil salesman from Ayurveda and do some big time research there can be advancements that are life saving. Would I go to ayurveda for infections and fevers? No western medicine gives immediate relief Would I go to Ayurveda for life threatening diseases? No not unless it is proven. But we use it everyday in the form of pasupu, miriyalu, honey etc without knowing their medicinal advantages
