Lodha granting approval to 26 new medical colleges for 2016-17. Three of the 150-seat MBBs colleges are in TS: Mahaveer Institute of Medical Sciences (Vikarabad); Maheshwara Medical College (Patancheru) and RVM Institute of Medical Sciences (Medak). The decision will allow the opening of five medical colleges including two minority colleges in AP: Maharaja (Vizianagaram), Gayatri (Visakhapatnam), Vishwabharathi (Kurnool); NIMRA (Vijayawada) and Fatima (Kadapa). A second round of counselling will be held to fill convener quota seats in these college while the B-category seats will be filled based on Neet ranks, said G.
