Kattappa was held as captive in forest close to kalakeyas place. This way Prabhas has to come to the forest. When AB gets killed, there should not be revolt from people and the kings court, so it has to be part of a confrontation. RanA has dual plan. If kattappa kills, it is fine. If not kalakeyas will get him. Then he will step in last if they both fail.
