got this from one prince fan's blog:

Did you ever get a feeling "What is that supposed to be?"

You can get it when you listen to lyrics dubbed into Telugu from Tamil

not sure about the converse, may be even that is true.

I always wonder why the producers won’t spend some more bucks on the lyrics of a hit audio rather than making the true translations of them

Why do they show their cost cutting skills on lyrics

Let me give you some examples.

పదములు రెండు పక్షులాయెను
వేళ్ళ చివర పూలు పూచెను
కనుబొమ్మలే దిగి మీసమాయెను

If you seriously try to know the meaning of above lines they mean

My feet have become Birds

There are blossoms on my finger tips

My eyebrows have slipped down and became mustaches

How would that be possible? I have no answers.

కుళ్ళీపోయిన మామిడి లో జత పురుగులమౌదాం
వాన నీటి బురదలలో వాన పాములమౌదాం

These lines mean that

Lets be together like insects in a Rotten Mangoes

Lets be like Earthworms in Mudwater

This song portrays the feeling of teenagers in LOVE

I often use to wonder Who on earth wants to be like insects and worms that too in muddy water

(No Idea about the lyrics in tamil do they mean the sam or not !!!! Are they written in the same way any one answer please)

But all the songs from this album are block buster hits (that's ARR's magic)

The point here is not to criticize any one.

Another Song Says

అడవిన గుఱ్ఱం మల్లే అట్టా తిరిగిన నన్నే
ఒక పువ్వు లాగ పువ్వులాగ మార్చి వేసిందీ

Which means

"She has transformed me into a flower from a horse roaming in the forests"

I still wonder what does that transformation signify?? Dont you ?

The problem comes with true translation.

If the lyricists are asked to write new lyrics instead of translations they would come out with their best numbers for same tunes, but the cost cutting skills of the producers :-) they s**k.

లవ్వే వస్తుందా లవ్వే వస్తుందా
నాపై నాపై నీకు లవ్వే వస్తుందా

These lines though they are a bit sensible when you consider the whole song you may still wonder if you think abt them seperately

Love పైకి రావడమేంటి వస్తుందా వస్తుందా అని అడగడమేంటి ??? :S

Theres another category of songs which have good translated words but inappropriate usage and stupid combination s.

నీళ్ళల్లో మురిసిన తామర అంతట్లో మారెను ఋతువులా (తామర is also a skin disease this line can mean the skin disease is spreading like a season because of you :-) )

నీళ్ళల్లో ఈదిన తారక బంగారు పూవుల కానుకా పెరేలే కాంచన

(Why would a star swim in water)

A gift of golden flowers whose name is Kaanchana ??? (this is my understanding)

especially words like ముక్కు చివరా మర్మమొకటి what secret would any one have on the tips of the nose ??

This song has exceptionally good and mesmerizing music, but if we concentrate on lyrics you get //...@@##**** in your head

Here is a list of meaning less words (may be there's some strong meaning according to the lyricist)

మరకతవర్నం (???***~~~~///~ )

అప్పడం గుండెలు భద్రం రెమో Papad hearts be careful :P :P

సేవలుశాయెవలెరా (???***~~~~///~ )

విజాగు వెలగ పండు Vizaag is famous for Cashew nuts not Wood Apples

అయ్య రేటు పళ్ళ దాన (???***~~~~///~ )

మట్టాగిడసా కళ్ళదాన (పాట రాసిన వాడు ఏం రాసాడొ అర్థం కాక పోయుంటే పాడిన వాడి నోట్లోంచి బూతులొచ్చుండేవి) Thanks to his presence of mind and understanding skills

If i keep on writing there is no end to this list but

My intention is not to point out any one

Its only to share some fun

Wake up producers..... Jaago...

Saayo Naara ... :-)
