launchpads are nothing but small hamlets with 10-12 houses behind Pak outposts within 1-2 km from the no man's land...most of these outposts and hamlets are situated on the mountains at an altitude of around 8000-12000 feet...
it is pak's policy to inhabit these hamlets by a mix of ex-army men&families and some genuine villagers...the hamlets act as halts for infiltrators who recoup, who wait there for right moment to cross the border in the nights through the courses of the streams in valleys of the mountains...you could actually see these hamlets and life the inhabitants lead standing in our outposts...
