Just watched #kabali and here's what I think about it.

It's the kind of movie where the protagonist is not the person who is like two inches away from a Nobel prize or something..... It shows that he is a gangster.. A gangster who tries to do good but a gangster nonetheless.

And the movie isn't the kind of movie that everyone might appreciate....here's why.

People are used to seeing films where there is a pointless love story with some pointless humor which sometimes aren't in the least bit witty, where everything goes according to the plan....and this plan here is something made up in like three minutes..

The soundtrack of kabali is awesome. And by soundtrack I mean soundtrack, not songs. It mostly doesn't re-use the cover of it's songs but has an independent background score. Which is pure amazing it displays the emotions pretty darn clearly.

Enough about all that..... We need characters... And kabali gives them to us... Kabali, who has literally lived in a cave for 20 years..comes put only to find that his gang has been disbanded.
Rajini as kabali gives an awesome performance... Everything from his charisma to his acting is top notch. All the characters from the movie are awesome as well...they all have back story some of them are helpless some of them just want the power etc.

The action sequences are pure badass. They are not the ones where the protagonist goes somewhere and "beats" up a bunch of dude without as much as wrinkle on his collar. The action sequences first have a lot of tension built up before them. Because of which the whole action goes to a completely new level.

And the camera work is splendid... Like sometimes you are to wonder "how did they do that". Don't believe me? Okay spot the camera on atleast one mirror or spectacle reflection. But the tricks aren't what make it awesome... It's the way the use the camera...and they nailed it.

On the final note
KABALI DA.

The movie's good watch it.
