Ask the kid to take number of practice tests at home(college board sells old tests ). If the student got self discipline, ask him/her to take at least one test at home. Based the performance in their tests, they will know what are the areas they need to pay attention. Then, you can hire a personal tutor (my niece took 10 classes by paying 60/- an hour) to fix those areas.



If you are in PA/NJ area: Once your kid knows where he lacks(based on practice tests), go to MJ test prep center in King of Prussia and take 1 or 2 classes with them. They charge $400/- per hour and worth for every penny. My nice took one class from them and 10 classes from the private tutor. Total she spent $850/- in addition to practice tests.MJ test prep also conducts practice tests by charging 25/- per test. I think she took about3 or 4 tests with them.
