Ravanudu bhookailas lo choosam, goppa siva bhaktudu. Siva bhakti ichedi gynam.. and its mentioned he had 10 heads - metaphor saying he lost his 10 senses' control and became demon. But other times he was a learned brahmin, wrote entire vedic vocabulary, great siva bhakt. Now did he not know, that Sita is form of Lakshmi and that he was fighting Narayana ? There is an episode in the vana..first time when Ravan comes to Sita.So the sanskrit verse when interpreted gives like 2 versions - 1) Ravan says - yenugu tondam skin la naajuku unna Sita, nuvvu na simhasanam meeda kurchunte chudalani undi. 2) Now, yenugu ni lakshmi sthanam ga chustaru ( reference to Lakshmi ) and per Hinduism one can have 5 different types of wives(in a sense, part of self) - out of which Pattamahishi - is the one who sits on throne in King's absense. Could be his daughter as well. N there is a reference in Ravan's life where he gets cursed by Vedavati. And follow that arc ..you deduce Sita is infact his daughter. So i can say he knew Sita as Lakshmi rupam, and she is his daughter and asking to come sit on his throne ? 1) vulgar ga untundi. 2) complicated, unheard ga untundi. The so called manipulation/interpretation happens via the author ( like me in above case ) but the original Sanskrit verse remains absolutely same. And i am able to substantiate 2) with lots of other stories i know around that character, and ex astrology also fits and verifies it... |
