Honestly, the way i do read stuff, i read Sanskrit version ONLY. I dont go for the prose under it if i feel its vague. I try to think about it or meditate on it .. and the golden rule is - there is an approach in these scriptures which fits to all the rules that Hinduism itself dictates. Thats the right version to absorb.. and thts how i learnt. I can give you examples on this }
