he has been in that job for 20 years, 8 ipl seasons, its not small thing. If he is not doing his job well, he would have gone long back. There is no fixed rule that a commentator has to be ex-player of the game. If BCCI had sacked him for bad commentary or not doing his job well, thats a different story, no one knows the reason after 2 days and BCCI wont care to say due to its monopoly.
