it was really heart breaking to me and my wife. we knew the kid since he was born here and very sharp and very well mannered for his age. He speaks telugu with such an excellent diction. They went for a wedding in the family about a month ago. extensive travel etc would have taken a toll on his immune system. He had a fever (104F) for two or three days and doctor advised (not forced) to give him IV. they were planning to take him to a better hospital soon after that but within few hours of that doc's visit, he passed away. I am paraphrasing some of this as I don't exactly know the first hand details and I didn't want to probe my friend. I was focused on getting him a ticket for Saturday night (incident happened Saturday morning our time), making sure he ate lunch and dinner etc. You need energy to cry too.. He reached monday and completed the final rites..  Ignorance is bliss |
