he started doing the so called overaction after 1977 because people liked to see him in those roles.. even there you could see the brilliance/spark in the roles of professor viSvam, justice chowdary, s.p. ranjit kumAr etc.




NTR has overaction as a built in, As per my opinion he developed to enact Mythological movies
for Negative characters Duryodhana, Ravana and Bheema. The way he use to walk and talk.
Did you notice how he is walks in Pandavanavasam in Bheema's character ?
( Anti fans use to have a big laugh as he walked with his legs open)
Later when NTR started acting in folklore(Janapadha ) movies of Director Vittalacharya
Overaction increased.

Well to be honest - mass audiences accepted his overacting as long as he was appearing young in
those black and white movies
but by late 70's after he got old then overacting became overwhelming for the new generation
youth and they started becoming more and more Krishna fans.
