There was a reason for this creation of his son maintaining his celebacy. The link was established somewhere during the war where. Ravana's brother ahiravana who was ruling pathala lanka, a lanka similar to lanka in pathala lokam which is impossible to get there. Ravana knowing about Rama and lakshmana, he asks his help. Then Ahiravana decieves Hanuman who was protecting the entire sena during war at night as vibheeshana and kidnaps Rama and lakshmana. He has hanuman's son guarding patala lanka, this as a way to enter and an alarm system which tells if something is going thru the weighing system (Traasu), if something fishy is found it will on the alarm system and then they will catch the person. It was impossible for Hanuma to know where Ahiravana was and how he can die. Only Hanuman's son Makaradwaj will know the secret of his Ahiravana's death which lies in five bees if Hanuman can kill them at once, he can die. This was told to Hanuman when he goes to rescue Rama and Lakshman and during nick of the time, he gets the secret from his son and saves Rama/Lakshmana.
