1. Why is He called Hanuma? Hanuma means "davadalu", when Indra hits him with Vjarayudham for trying to put sun in mouth, he was hit on davadalu and they get damaged. So is called Hanuma. 2. What is he Chiranjeevi? Rama blesses him to be chiranjeevi just because he has to be there as long as human exists to take care of them as he took care of Rama, Lakshmana, Sita, Sugreeva and many others in Ramayana. Also since he is selfless serves where ever devotion to Rama is there. 3. Whats so special about him to get Devata's status If we take any character of human, he remains as highest of it and benchmark of the character. Bala, buddi, parakrama, yukti, bhakti, alochana, self-less, help, veda vedanta, knowledge thinking, talking whatever character, no one has done it to perfection like him and on the top he was complete self-less. Ramayana, cannot be imagined without Hanuma. The way he helped every one, they way he saves lives at the right time proves what he is? When Sugreeva was about to die, he saves him, When Rama/Lakshmana are about to suicide, he saves them, When Sita was about to commit suicide, he saves them. When Lakshmana is subconcious, when lakhs of vanaras got hit in war, he saves them bringing sanjeevani. When Bharata was about do something unusual, he goes and saves saying Rama is coming. He is a great saviour. 4. If he is Brahmachari, how come he is married to Suvarchala. Suvarchala has asked a boon that she want to marry someone who doesnt have kamam towards women. The reason is she wanted a husband to perform vratas, kalyanam, yagas and other rituals which cannot be performed without husband and wife. In the world it was only Hanuma who fit to this requirement and he didnt marry for himself, he did it for others. 5. If he was so powerful, why didnt he kill vali and help his master Sugreeva. Due to the curse, he doesnt know his strength. He came to know about his strength only when he was told and sent to Lanka. Till then he didnt know how powerful he was. 6. Is he an amsa of Shiva? Yes there are some places this was told. The self-less character matches to Shiva, so it is believed that he is amsa of Shiva. 7. What he can do to us, what he expect from us. యత్ర యత్ర రఘునాథ కిర్తనం; తత్ర తత్ర క్రుత మస్థకాంజలిం; భాష్ప వారి పరిపూర్న లోచనం; మారుతిం నమత రాక్షసాంతకం He always stands by dharma, wherever dharma is there he will be there to help who follow them. He is there automatically where Rama Nama is told. Thats the same reason why he was on the chariott of Arjuna, and where he is there, victory will be there.
