Penkonda_tiger:Only few Telugu NRI's have benefited by associating with political big wigs. They can be counted on finger tips . Also I have seen many a middle class NRI's who have lost a lot by associating with Politicians.Latter group is in 1000's. Adopting villages etc everything looks good on PPT and nice to talk.Reality is different ... me and my cousin Vamsi (Gaali's JNTU classmate) adopted our Native village , put up water purification plant to provide clean drinking water to village .. with our own cost of 10K dollars . So far so good for first 3years , people get purified water for free etc etc straggule starts when you want to transfer the plant to local so they can run it as a service .Now we have to pay them to run it as a service , so much internal village politics so many egg-ass parties , none wants to take responsibility . Running this small initiative is becoming a pain in the ass ... time waste , money waste .. People in the village's want everything for free free free freee at someone expense, they do not want to take over it as a co-operative ..
very much sorry to hear that your effort has gone waste...is that purifying system working or not? if not, i would say let some students in that area be made aware of it and run by themselves...is maintanance cost too much? telugu biDDa (staying in bangalore and from vijayawada)
