Different version I heard....Our Immune system is like thousands of soldiers who constantly need work....when we were in India and we were exposed to many Germs and our healthy immune system keeps fighting. Now after coming to USA slowly we got used to hygiene and our immune systems didn't have any thing to do but act on foreign bodies.

There was one study on childrens who rised in farms and they were not having any allergies since they were exposed to many germs and their immune system is busy in fighting with those germs.
