there was another saying that this temple was named as Chitambaram which is chit + ambalam = Hall of consciousness. Thats why this temple has 5 sabha's and they have their own significance. The RajaSabha(i) is having 1000 pillars, which represents sahasradhara in Yoga and they say if someone meditates in this place, they get the highest result due to cosmic energy in the place as Siva and Parvati dance at this place. Also there was a chakram in that temple people say it is so powerful that if you do meditation infront of that chakram, one can see Lord Shiva. Ivanni experiences that some one should get, not sure who were those lucky people who experienced what was told. Anyday, going to that temple is an immense pleasure..
