First of all, we dont know exactly 'what' they achieved. I spent many summers in Ramana's ashram in Thiruvannamalai and the people altogeher follow a different 'ritual' like reading "who am i',"ramnashtakam','arunachalapdhikam' etc.Just changed the ritual by hoping they will get soemthing.
