Twenty years ago I walked in to an empty theatre screening Iruvar. I still remember the way boxoffice clerk looked at me as I walked in. What followed was 158 minutes of Masterclass in film making. Every frame spoke volumes about the craftsmanship of the team. I left the theater with a sense of admiration for the man whose love for film making is evident in every shot. Unfortunately he could never regain his full form in the next two decades. Hope he stops making films. Not a palanquin bearer.... |
