Infact Kumbhakarna was much better person than Ravana. Kumbhakarna too adviced Ravana to give away Seeta back to Rama. He understood the strength of Rama. He knew before hand that he would get killed in hands or Rama/Lakshmana. But his advices were not listened by Ravana. Regarding the boons, he did tapassu to get the throne of Indra but upon Indra's request Saraswati makes him to say Nidrasana..(Instead of Indrasana ). So he would sleep 24x7, 365 days. But Kumbhakarna was most powerful warrior than Ravana so realizing that Ravana would lose his brother on all his fights, Ravana does another penances and gets it reduced to 6 months. No reviews yet |
