UK biotech company DD for T2 Biosystems, machine for sepsis Dx. 1. The T2DX machine detects bacteremia in hours instead of days (as required with standard blood cultures). It is a machine that utilizes magnetic resonance (think MRI technology). Specifically a T2 MR signal is utilized to detect the changes of the magnet properties of the water in the sample being tested. 2. Identifies most ESKAPE pathogens, candida, etc. 3. Has a Lyme panel awaiting FDA approval. Presently, the lyme diagnostic technology being utilized in labs is terrible. So this is going to be a game changer. 4. Has an abx resistance panel called the T2Resistance Panel. It is already approved for testing in Europe. It works by detecting abx resistant genes and other resistance markers in the bacteria. The T2Resistance Panel detects gram-negative and gram-positive resistance markers. 5. This T2 technology can be made to detect almost any pathogen, including viruses and yeasts. EX: When COVID-19 was discovered, the company quickly developed a SARS-CoV-2 panel for the machine. It is already FDA eua approved. 6. The T2 technology works with any fluid including whole blood, sputum, plasma, CSF, etc. 7. T2 Biosystems has a gen 2 machine in the works. 8. T2 Biosystems recently signed a $69 million BARDA (govt) contract for the development of a biothreat pathogens panel, including B. anthracis, F. tularensis, Burkholderia spp., Y. pestis, R. prowazekii, and toxin genes. 9. So far they have only exercised $6 mm of the BARDA contract. They will be able to exercise the rest of contract ($63 mm) through 2024. 10. A second panel is in the works and expected to cover 99% of all bloodborne bacterial infections including pan-Gram positive and pan-Gram negative results (>250 species). 11. Out of 5 analysts, all give it a “buy” rating. 12-month median price forecasts is $3.50, high estimate is $4.00, and low estimate is $2.50. If we hit the median, we double price. I predict this will happen by March. 12. Beat Q1, Q2, Q3 earnings. Many predict stellar Q4 earnings. (Q4 ER will be 2nd or 3rd week in February it don’t know the date) 13. It’s up 400% since March. 14. THE FOLLOWING FACT IS VERY INTERESTING, NOW PAY ATTENTION. In June 2020, QIAGEN CEO Thierry Bernard came part of their board of directors. QUIAGEN is a BIG diagnostics company that is traded under ticker QGEN. There is a lot of speculation as to why Thierry Bernard has any interest in sitting on the TTOO board, and the consensus is that a buyout is in the works. That would be huge $$ for shareholders. Also suggestive of this is the fact there has been no insider buying or selling going on within the company, which makes sense because getting arrested for insider trading is not fun according to Martha Stewart and the MovieWall Street. 15. The sepsis diagnostics market is growing bigly. 16.
