The tentative FY21 forecast that Apple shared with its suppliers suggests it plans to build up to 230Mn iPhones in 2021, a 20% rise from 2019. IDC: Apple logged 2 consecutive years of smartphone shipment declines in 2018 & 2019. In the first 9 months of this year, its shipments stood at around 116M iPhones, down just 1% on the year. Apple is also said to be preparing an aggressive 2021 production schedule for its high-end computers, including the MacBook Pro and iMac Pro. It will take about 2 years to fully transition to CPUs designed in-house. Also, Apple is working on a new Apple TV which will be released at some point in 2021.
