Resume sells you 30-40%, then the personal interview, how you present yourself. After 10 years I too tried to change my job, but the challenge I had was doing many things in current role at that time, which was required for company, but couldn't tell what exactly I was expert in, The company I went for interview, asked what I am expert at, I couldn't tell other than saying I can do anything that demands me to do. I failed that interview, because they were looking for specific skill, which I was not able to tell I was good at that. Then I went to next interview well prepared and cracked it.
