I used weed prevention sheet(Landscaping fabric) bought from Costco and dumped soil on top of that. Cardboard boxes should work as well.

what type of soil I need to buy. Going for bulk. Total 6 cubic yard. 3 emo compost, 3 emo compost sand blend. Is it fine?


Here, most of them buy "80/20 blend". I think it includes 20% sand and 80% soil(This 80% soil contains compost, but I am not sure what percentage of compost). I personally buy compost, soil from homedepot in bags.

I just leave grass with the space given to move my weed eater.
